Tess

I’m not quite finished with A Warhorse Fallen (coming late 2023) but I couldn’t wait to also start the next project.

Tess is going to be a screenplay set in Texas in the year 2050. I picture Texas (and much of the US) being a place where the religious zealots have taken over, and the country is just shy of civil war, with check points at state borders - especially for women who might be pregnant - so it’s a dangerous place for Tess, who becomes pregnant against her will. Combine all that with all the heat and flooding and the banana republic gap between rich and poor…

Tess is inspired by the classic Tess of the d’Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy.
