I’m currently reading the classic Dangerous Liaisons by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, published in 1782.

It’s better than the movie, but I do have to wonder, how did these people find the time to write letters that are 5,000+ words long! They didn’t even have enough candlelight for that!
